Reflections on Negative Conversation
People like negative stories or gossip.
For example, they always say the economy is not good, the job market is always tough, housing prices are high, they call Korea Hell Joseon, they think their military service was the hardest, they think they had the hardest time giving birth, they badmouth their wife or husband, etc. They like to build intimacy by talking about these negative situations or conditions with others.
Of course, it is true that the economy is not good in Korea right now, but when it was good, few people talked about it.
This phenomenon is said to be an evolutionary psychological phenomenon of humans who avoid and prevent risks and try to build intimacy.
I used to be extremely negative, and I lived blaming the country, society, and others, asking when I would buy a house.
However, nothing changes if I just blame others, and I have discovered that I have nothing left, so I am reflecting, studying, and changing.
I think that if I had studied stocks and worked on self-development during the time I spent drinking and blaming others in the past, I would have become a greater person than I am now.
Of course, each person has their own timing for change, and I may be thinking this way because I have lived in chaos.
If we objectively think about the current social economy, shipbuilding and defense industries are booming, and even during the COVID-19 era, healthcare and remote programs were booming.
As the social atmosphere and the needs demanded change, companies that follow them make profits, and if they do not change with the phenomenon, they are bound to be eliminated.
Some people say, 'Those were good times,' but in fact, compared to the past, smartphones, abundant food, good services, numerous information, and benefits were unprecedented even 30 years ago.
Among countries that follow capitalism and democracy, there is no country that is worse than the past, and even better development is bound to occur in the future.
Of course, negative views can create new ideas.
For example, I think the development of smartphones was ultimately due to inconveniences and negative views such as 'it is inconvenient not to be able to use the Internet anytime, anywhere' and 'it is difficult to carry a camera, mp3, and cell phone with you.'
I think that not only complaining but also improving the current inconvenience will change your life and the lives of people all over the world.
All products currently in use were invented and developed because of something inconvenient.
If you find out what to do instead of just being negatively influenced by negative conversations with people, I think your life will become richer and better.
