The word Übermensch appeared first, and as explained below, it is a personal ideal goal that must be achieved by one's own efforts, not by a specific person.


The Übermensch does not refer to a specific person. It is a personal ideal goal that all of us must achieve on this earth, and by our own efforts. Nietzsche said that the Übermensch has never existed until now. He expressed his hope that countless more will appear in the future. It is desirable for all people to become Übermensch.

I think it is important to follow one's own ideal for oneself. As Socrates said, 'Know thyself', philosophy can be thought of as mostly knowing oneself. It is difficult to know oneself, and once you know yourself, you can set a goal for what to do. In order to know what is right and wrong, what your goal is, and how to live, you should always look at yourself, and when you don't know the milestones of life, I think philosophy books can sometimes be helpful. I hope everyone becomes their own Übermensch.


2. Let's go beyond your role model


If you stay as a disciple forever, it is not right for your teacher. Why don't you try to snatch the laurel wreath that I am wearing?

I think each of you will have your own role model.

If you just admire and look at him, you will never become the same as him.

I think you should always think about how you can live a better life than your role model and how you can achieve better results.

And when you think you have surpassed that role model, the sense of accomplishment will bring you tremendous joy.

You should not become someone's disciple, follower, or fan, but try to become someone who can be admired by others.

Of course, you should start out as a disciple, and slowly grow as you grow. It takes a lot of hardship, time, and effort, but it will eventually become your nourishment, and you never know when that time will be.

However, if you continue to grow like that, I think you will be able to see yourself better than yesterday, and more developed than in the past.

When the new year comes, rather than always looking back on your past and thinking, “What did I do last year?” and wasting time, I hope that this year, you will always live diligently with thoughts and actions that will really help you.
