Why You Should Do Self-Reflection

 - Philosophers say that I should look at myself first. I think that we should check and think about how much we know about ourselves, based on the famous saying of Socrates, “Know thyself.” First of all, the literal meaning of self-reflection is “reflecting and examining one’s own consciousness or ideas.” In the past, I often regretted getting angry. I often got angry and regretted it later, even though it was not something to be upset about or angry about. So I always try to think about it one more time. Is this really something I should get angry about? I still don’t think I can control and apply myself perfectly. However, I think that if I continue to try, think, and change, I will eventually become a better person. For example, let’s say an article criticizing celebrity A comes out. I think that getting angry or liking it plays a role in excreting my emotions through it. However, did celebrity A think about it? Maybe he has to endure the malicious comments on that one article, which may or may not be true. People only think and act from their own perspective. That's why we tend to think that we are right or just. That's why we have to constantly change our perspectives and think. That way, others can understand and sympathize to some extent with why they acted this way. My relationship is always difficult, but other people's relationships have problems. I think that's because my perspective has become objective, not subjective. In the end, I have to look at my own behavior objectively to find out my problems or causes. I think that looking at my perspective objectively, not subjectively, is also self-reflection. Rather than just looking ahead like a racehorse and insisting on my own thoughts, I think that if I slowly look at myself from various angles and find out what I am good at and what I should do, I think my life's goals will be given clearly. There is definitely something that every human being is precious and superior to others. If I utilize it well, develop it, and learn about it, I think that person will definitely achieve satisfaction and success.
