The social conquest of earth(Wilson, Edward O.)
●Humans ruled the Earth because they cooperated.
Tomasello's research team points out that the primary and core difference between human cognitive function and that of other animal species, including our closest genetic relatives, chimpanzees, is the ability to cooperate to achieve common goals and intentions.

I believe that all aspects of science, technology, culture, economy, and politics that humans have achieved so far are because each person faithfully fulfilled their role and cooperated together for a common goal.
For example, we can see the current state of development in horses, carriages, internal combustion engines, and electric motors for more efficient movement, and humans are continuously developing by utilizing various technologies, architecture, and equipment developed to adapt to the environment.
To adapt to the current given environment and move in a more advanced direction, humans think together, develop together, and cooperate for a common goal. Of course, insects with sociality such as bees and ants are similar in that they build nests, perform their own roles well, and continuously provide food to the queen ant/bee to increase their colony, but they appear to be centralized by one individual.
Insect societies are similar to today's communist and dictatorial systems, and although they grow, they are unable to live actively because they conserve food to survive the winter, and there are many individuals like worker bees and ants who cannot reproduce, so they are not developing further due to individuals who sacrifice for the group.
However, like humans, they can survive the winter using fire, and they can continue to operate in difficult environments whether it is winter or summer, such as clothing, buildings, and heating technology, and they have developed a large economy by recognizing each person's assets like capitalism and liberalism, and they are different from insects in that they maintain their culture with a common goal.
In this way, we are different from insects and other animals, and we have developed even more due to the invention of writing.
Another unique feature is that all creatures other than humans have language, but no writing. Through letters, we can know the past, recognize the present, and develop the future.
Without letters, technology, culture, economy, philosophy, politics, religion, etc. would not have been created.
If there were no records of past experiences, we would not be able to connect and develop past generations.
For example, suppose a scientist died after writing 99 records of failure.
The next scientist could read those 99 records of failure and conduct a new 100th experiment, but if there were no records of the past, he would repeat the same 99 failed actions.
Then, I think we would not be able to take a step forward in new discoveries or developments, but would continue to stand still.
That is why I cannot help but think more about letters that are close to us but are being overlooked, and I think we should always be grateful to King Sejong, who created Hangul, and be proud of our country for having our own letters.
