 1. Everything, whether pests or beneficial insects, is a necessary part.


After discovering a method to eliminate a pest that caused severe damage to crops, we excitedly applied this method, but as a result, other pests benefited more from the extinction of this pest, and we ended up in a worse state than before.

I mentioned an example before, but the Sacrificial Movement was implemented by Mao Zedong in China in 1955 when he went on a field tour and said that he would eliminate four harmful insects (mosquitoes, flies, rats, and sparrows) for agricultural development.


As expected, the result was dismal, and after eliminating sparrows, which were considered pests, other pests such as yellow bugs, mosquitoes, and flies benefited more, resulting in a great famine.


According to official announcements alone, 20 million people, and up to 60 million people, starved to death, and the area that was simply trying to eliminate pests suffered even greater damage.

DDT (an insecticide) is also similar in that the part that was intended to eliminate pests ended up causing more damage to humans due to bioaccumulation.

What we think of as pests are pests to humans, and in the ecosystem, each person is just faithfully doing their own job.

That is why I think that the part that was centered on humans ended up being transformed in a way that scratched the big wheel of the natural ecosystem, and that scratch eventually returned to humans themselves.


2. Selectivity when choosing a man


Females have two representative strategies: one is to choose a masculine male, and the other is to choose a male who prioritizes family happiness.

In order to leave their genes healthy, both men and women need a healthy partner.

It is important for both men and women to recognize this and look for a partner with a certain disposition, and each has different standards.

However, it is true that women suffer more physically, time-wise, and mentally than men when it comes to giving birth and raising children.

In the past, there were many wars and many external influences, so most women wanted a manly man, but now, compared to the past, there is less external influence, and because women are employed, the trend of men is changing to a husband who is a family man, as they want stability in their families.

I don't know which is the right answer.

It's not wrong or wrong because it's an individual's choice and each person's taste.

However, when my daughter grows up and brings home a man to spend the rest of her life with, I hope that he is a healthy man mentally and physically and a family man.


3. There are no eternal enemies or allies.


TFT starts with cooperation for the first game, and after that, you simply imitate the opponent's previous moves.

I think this method, named TFT, is a strategy derived from the prisoner's dilemma game, and it starts with cooperation, and if the opponent betrays, you betray, and if they cooperate, you cooperate. A good example is the Golden Ball game that was broadcast in the United States in the past.

When the last two people decide the jackpot amount, the amount distributed is as follows:


A cooperates - B cooperates: half the profit

A cooperates - B betrays: B receives the full amount

A betrays - B cooperates: A receives the full amount

A betrays - B betrays: no prize


I think this is the same in life.

For example, suppose your parents had a lot of money, but when they died, they had two children, and they made a will that left all the money to one child, A, and B, who was angry, went to court to get his share of the inheritance.

I think the legal conclusion would be that both would get half.

But who would make the most money here?

I think it would be the lawyers hired by A and B, and the country.

They would get a certain amount of profit from the assets they protected, as well as the lawyers' fees, and the country would get even more profit because it could collect inheritance tax from both sides.

Since A and B did not cooperate, both of them suffered great losses in time, money, and even feelings toward each other.

However, if A and B had cooperated and visited a tax accountant to discuss and cooperated on how to efficiently divide the inheritance, wouldn't they have been able to save on attorney fees and inheritance taxes that would have otherwise been incurred?

In the end, I think that if you live your life making enemies of others, betraying them, and cheating them, you will eventually find that both sides will suffer.

That's why people should always cooperate and live, and the result can always be good for both of you.

If you reduce your greed and cooperate, you can grow together, but if you only think of yourself, you will suffer greatly someday.
