A short History of Nearly Everything(Bryson, Bill)
1. We are extremely, extremely, extremely lucky people.
So far, space scientists have discovered about 70 planets out of the estimated 10 billion planets in the universe. Therefore, although we cannot say for sure yet, we must be extremely lucky to find a planet where life can exist.

If the angle of the Earth had been slightly off, if the distance from the sun had been slightly closer or farther away, if the atmosphere of the Earth had been slightly different from now, etc., we exist in a state where we could perfectly live.
Therefore, we can say that we are extremely lucky.
We can learn a lot about how amazing it is for life to exist among the countless planets in the universe, how much we need water, oxygen, and nitrogen, and how essential they are to our survival.
Also, if the dinosaurs had not gone extinct, we would not have been able to build a civilization and live like this.
I was able to realize even more that just being alive on Earth right now is an incredible fortune and a great thing. We, who have been born with such great fortune, must live for a better life, and compared to the age of the Earth, we have a very short history and civilization, just like a speck of dust on a speck of dust, but in order to last longer, we must show great interest in the future and prepare for it.
2. Waiting for the right time is something that both microorganisms and people must do.
Microorganisms living in the ground are small and very lazy. Even the most active ones do not divide even once a century. According to The Economist, "The secret to longevity seems to be doing nothing." When things get bad, bacteria close everything down and wait for good times to come back.

Microorganisms live in any environment on Earth, and some live for an incredibly long time.
They wait for the right time and only become active when the environment is right for them to live.
I would like to compare this to investment or money.
The reason why someone made a lot of money is because they were prepared for the situation and the time.
That is why I believe that if you try to make a lot of money when you are not ready and the situation is not good, you will not be able to get it.
For example, if you want to become a book influencer, you need to have written a lot of book reviews, have good reviews, be able to attract others, and be popular.
If you are not prepared for all of these, you will not be an influencer, but just someone who envies influencers.
Likewise, I believe that people who have become rich have definitely prepared for their field, worked hard, and received the results after a lot of trial and error.
That is why I believe that if you want something, you should prepare the right things for it.
3. The reason we are sick or healthy is because of microorganisms. And we are microorganisms living on Earth.
Making the host uncomfortable can also help the microorganisms. Sometimes, the symptoms of a disease can help spread the disease. Vomiting, sneezing, diarrhea, etc. are very good ways for microorganisms to escape from the host and move to another host.

If we are normal people, we do not sneeze or cough often.
However, when we catch a cold, we cough, runny nose, sneeze, etc., and our bodies go through a lot of processes such as expelling our saliva.
That saliva contains viruses that have taken over the host and copied themselves.
The reason we excrete saliva is, of course, because the virus has taken over the host and is working to find another host for further reproduction.
The human body is a collection of numerous microorganisms and they live in a symbiotic relationship.
We cannot live without microorganisms, and microorganisms are an important part of digestion, self-defense, and mental and physical effects.
Bad microorganisms make us sick, and good microorganisms make us healthy.
Compared to the Earth, smaller microorganisms are building this world in the tiny human body, and humans are building the current world on Earth.
I don't know if we are bad or good microorganisms for the Earth (of course, we have done more bad things), but I think this is also a necessary element. If there is creation, there must also be destruction, and just as destruction leads to regeneration, I think the bad things humans have done to the Earth may have helped the Earth in some way. However, since we would not exist without the Earth, we need to have a heart that cares more for the Earth as a symbiotic relationship with it.
